Search Engine Optimisation

As a rule Rightmark Web Design creates websites with search engine optimisation (SEO) in mind. How a website is designed can affect its ranking by search engines . This means that even without a full SEO, Rightmark Web Sites are search engine friendly.

We DO NOT guarantee positions, because we DO NOT have access to the search engine databases or are we able to affect the search engine algorithms. Don't believe disreputable companies that suggest they do! What we do is provide a service based on years of search engine experience to make your site as inviting to the search engine 'spiders' and 'robots' to obtain its best possible ranking.

SEO is not suitable for all sites and not all sites are search engine friendly e.g. sites constructed using Flash or frames. Some companies prefer not to be highly listed in search engines, a typical example might be a B2B company supplying products that are NOT available to the general public.

At Rightmark Web Design we know how important your logo is to your company.

Following your initial consultation, where you will outline your requirements for your logo, we will then go away and generate a selection for you to choose from.

Once you have signed off your selection, your logo will formatted so that it is suitable for printing and online display, in black and white, and colour.

Domain Name Registration

Your Domain Name is your 'Internet Company Name'. Ownership of the name is vital. At Rightmark Web Design we believe that you should own that name. Hence, we recommend 123-reg.co.uk as the company to register your domain name. Click the link below or via the Links page to be taken to their web site. Search for a suitable domain name and register it, see Information section for further details.

A domain name provides you with a name for your website e.g. www.yourcompany.co.uk and the ability to use the name in emails e.g. sales@yourcompany.co.uk

The registration cost varies depending on the type of domain you wish to register, such as .co.uk or .com.

You will be charged the registration and administration fee by 123-reg.co.uk for each domain name you register.

You do not need a website ready, to register a domain name, the domain name can be saved to be used later, this is called Domain Parking. Once registered you can use the domain name to point to another website location, this is called Domain Redirection. You can also set up emails with your domain name to be sent to another account, this is called Email Forwarding.
